Here are the main figures who are helping us with this project. We would like to thank them all, because without them the project could not exist.

Our local support


The SPCC (Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee) is the main organisation responsible for waste management in the Khumbu region, which includes the Sagarmatha National Park and its buffer zone, as well as the heart of the Everest trekking area.

Khumbila Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation working for the well-being of mountain communities and the conservation of the Nepalese Himalayas. It is named after a peak sacred to the Sherpa people not far from Pangboche.

The Ama Dablam Youth Club is the association of the inhabitants of the village of Pangboche.

The Women group organises clean-ups of the village before and after each tourist season.

Nepal Mountaineering Association, an organisation promoting mountain tourism and sport, and protecting the environment and culture in Nepal’s mountain regions.
