2025 – Fourth team on site
After arriving in Kathmandu by land from New Delhi, we met up with the two machines and carried out the first tests on the injector with our new moulds.
Week 2
Tests on the colorimetry of objects with the injection machine continued. We made sieves to wash and dry plastic shavings more easily. At the same time, we launched the sheetpress after some repairs with electricians. One small and a few large sheets were produced.
Week 3
The tests on the large plastic plates continued to find a better rendering. To this end, we changed plastics and tested new techniques. At the same time, final color tests were carried out on the injection molding machine.
Week 4
A number of tests were carried out on the assembly of the plastic sheets, in order to better understand their role in the construction of the center.
Week 5
We visited a warehouse that recovers waste from Everest, in particular damaged tent fabrics. We salvaged a few of them to make a first prototype object: crossbody fanny pack.
